Job Description Job Description Position Description: Job Opportunity: Task Manager (5-Year Term)We are seeking an experienced Task Manager to lead a dynamic team supporting the Department of Energy (DOE) and the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in Los Alamos, NM. This critical role provides oversight, operational leadership, and ensures compliance with federal contract requirements. The position is a 5-year appointment.Position SummaryThe Task Manager serves as the primary point of contact (COR POC) for DOE/NNSA, overseeing daily operations across multiple support service areas. This role ensures staff management, operational efficiency, and strict adherence to performance and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and supervise staff across administrative, mailroom, records, and support services.Act as the primary liaison with DOE/NNSA COR and government stakeholders.Ensure continuity of operations, including backfilling for absent team members when necessary.Monitor and maintain performance standards (accuracy, timelines, service levels).Review, prepare, and submit monthly operational reports.Ensure contract compliance and efficient delivery of services.General Requirements Across All PositionsMust meet DOE/NNSA background suitability requirements.Task Manager & Records Manager must hold a DOE/NNSA Q clearance.All staff must comply with DOE/NNSA security and suitability standards, including visitor access and badging.Must adhere to performance standards, including:Accuracy: 9799%Timely record retrievals and supply fulfillment: 95%QualificationsBachelors degree or 10 years of relevant professional experience.Proven supervisory and management experience.Active DOE/NNSA Q clearance (required).Proficiency in:Microsoft 365 SuiteDOE/NNSA systems including Concur, eDOCS, STRIPES, LANL badging, and SharePoint.Why Join Us?This is an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role that directly supports national security missions.
