Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus company and a proud government contractor, is seeking dedicated General Medicine Providers to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments across New Mexico. This is your opportunity to contribute to vital national services while working flexible hours in your own office location. In this role, you'll conduct interview-based assessments with occasional physical examinations, including range of motion and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment is involved, allowing you to focus on your expertise in providing accurate evaluations. The position offers ongoing PRN work, with the flexibility to choose half-day or full-day shifts — perfect for clinicians with existing office setups within a 50-mile radius of Silver City, Deming, Hobbs, or Grants. Required Skills and Qualifications: Valid medical license in New Mexico Background in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or related general medicine fields Experience with compensation and pension exams is highly preferred Excellent communication skills with the ability to perform thorough interview assessments Ability to complete documentation efficiently within designated timeframes Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with VA or military healthcare assessments Proficiency with medical documentation and report writing Familiarity with certification requirements for government contracts Preferred Education and Experience: MD or DO degree from an accredited institution At least 2 years of clinical practice experience in general medicine or related specialties Prior experience conducting C&P exams is advantageous but not mandatory Other Requirements: Own a dedicated office location within the specified radius (Silver City, Deming, Hobbs, Grants) Ability to travel locally as needed within the specified areas Complete credentialing and onboarding quickly and efficiently Commitment to ongoing administrative tasks such as report addendums and medical opinions Compensation & Benefits: Competitive pay packages with a flat rate of $800 for half-day (4 hours or less) and $1,600 for full-day (5 hours or more) shifts One-time bonus of $650 upon completion of training and first exams Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2 employment) Paid sick time in accordance with applicable laws Additional reimbursements for licensure, certification, travel, and other expenses when applicable Robust referral bonus programs and dedicated team support to ensure your success If you're a motivated clinician ready to support Veterans with your expertise and flexibility, we encourage you to apply now.
