Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:6 Description: The position is for a
Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty. The role
requires strong organizational and communication skills. The nurse
will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to
adults and geriatric patients. The expected patient ratio is 1
nurse to 6 patients. Nights will involve working 4 shifts per week.
The unit accepts first-time travelers. Candidates must be
proficient in charting with the Epic system. The position involves
no call requirements and minimal floating to like units. Weekend
shifts are spread over a 6-week period with 6 shifts required.
Candidates should have experience in various nursing skills and
procedures. Interdisciplinary support is available, including
physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Special
procedures may be performed as part of patient care. The unit has a
daily census of 32 patients and supports a variety of patient
diagnoses. Additional responsibilities include effective
communication with the healthcare team and timely documentation of
patient care. The position requires adaptability and a commitment
