We are seeking skilled Locum Nurse Practitioners to provide essential Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments nationwide. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license with current certification Experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, or orthopedic surgery Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testing Ability to perform non-treatment exams efficiently and accurately Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Comfortable working independently within a established practice location Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience with compensation and pension assessments Familiarity with veteran healthcare protocols Background in medical documentation and report submission Knowledge of relevant state and federal laws regarding veteran services Preferred Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or related field Minimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner Prior experience in occupational health, military medicine, or veteran health assessments is advantageous Other Requirements: Own practice location within a 50-mile radius of designated areas (Silver City or Deming, NM; Hobbs, NM; Grants, NM) Ability to work PRN basis, with flexibility for ½ or full days Willingness to complete onboarding, training, and administrative follow-up appointments Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Participation in certification and licensure verifications as required Local candidates only; travel reimbursement included in rates Compensation and Benefits: Hourly rates of $600 for half-day (4 hours or less) and $1,200 for full-day (5 hours) Flat rate includes exam time, report submission, and addendums One-time bonus of $650 for completing initial training and performing first exams Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Competitive referral bonus program Paid sick time per applicable laws Licensure, certification, travel reimbursements, and other allowances applicable Seize this opportunity to impact veterans' lives while advancing your professional journey.
