Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: OR - Operating Room - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/30/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Peri-Op Operating Room position requiring a NM or compact RN license with day shifts and on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities - Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a hospital setting - Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts from 0700-1530, five days per week - On-call and weekend shifts are required as needed - Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required - Care provided to perioperative patient populations - Epic EMR is used; onsite training is available - Responsible for providing direct perioperative care, including assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs - Collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team to coordinate care - Supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel may be required - Epic EMR training will be provided onsite if needed - Completion of patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol competency testing per unit standards - Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia Testing is not required for OR RNs - Scrub attire must comply with facility policies Requirements - Active NM or compact RN license in hand - BLS and ACLS certifications from American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross - Minimum of two years of recent experience in a small PACU and Pre-Op required - At least one previous 13-week travel assignment required - ADN or ASN degree required - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment - No candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered - Returning former staff must be separated for at least one year to be eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-663897.
