Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,414 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two (2) years current experience in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. License: State Nursing License (New Mexico or Compact State) Certifications: BLS, ACLS certifications. Must-Have: Selected candidates must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test. Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Should they fail, candidates will have one opportunity to re-test. A second failure will result in contract cancellation and all applicable fees will be enforced. Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of licensed practical nurses and non-licensed assistive personnel. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Preferred experience includes familiarity with Epic EMR. Required education includes an Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing.
