Job Description:
This position is part of a driver training program to enable a
Class B driver to achieve a Class A license. Expenses for the Class
A permit and licensing will be paid by the company.--Drivers hired
with a Class B license shall be required to complete and acquire,
within ninety (90) days of employment, a Class A permit and must
obtain a valid Class A license within six (6) months from the
permit date. The CDL Training Program Graduate will remain employed
for a minimum of one (1) year following acquisition of Class A
license. If the employee voluntarily leaves the Company, they will
reimburse the Company through payroll deductions schedule as
follows:Up to 6 months = 100% reimbursement6 months to 9 months =
50% reimbursement9 months to 12 months = 25% reimbursementOperate a
commercial motor vehicle in compliance with DOT and DFA rules,
regulations and policies adhering to all safety practicesDeliver
pre-ordered or unscheduled (special orders) products to customers
(schools, grocery stores, nursing homes, etc.) according to route
schedule and customer delivery expectations (e.g., put deliveries
inside coolers and walk-ins) in a safe and timely mannerFollow
designated routes and schedules unless otherwise directed by
supervisory personnel. Report delivery delays to management due to
road conditions, accidents or breakdownsBased on route design, load
and unload product as required at designated stops (manually with
hook, 2-wheel cart and/or pallet jack); may include stocking,
rotating, and/or ordering of product (varies from route to
route)Collect empty casesProvide merchandising support based on
customer requirements and promote the addition and sales of new
products if appropriateCommunicate effectively and maintain good
relations with customers, resolve customer complaints, and report
any problems to the driver supervisor or managerEnsure and/or
perform proper maintenance on assigned vehicles and equipment used
(tires, fuel, oil check, etc.) and maintain a clean vehicleEnsure
load is properly secured prior to travel and at each stop and make
adjustments when neededComplete all daily paperwork fully and
correctly each day. Complete DOT and customer paperwork including
delivery tickets, pre and post trip inspections, driver logs, trip
records, and vehicle service reportsSubmit all customer paperwork
and deposits daily, including invoices, load orders, and handheld
reportsEnsure sufficient route inventory levels to meet customer
demands while adhering to account inventory control and company
distribution procedures; document condition of freight before
departureAttend all driver workshops and training sessionsUse
company supported applications or systems properlyRepresent DFA
positively and professionally at all times during interactions with
customers or other individuals--OUR CLASS B DELIVERY DRIVER FOR
THIS POSITION CAN MAKE UP TO:$21.02 per hour--SCHEDULE:Varies based
on route: Mon-Fri Start times 2am -5am until route
