Construction Sign Shop Laborer

Fabricate aluminum and construction signs, help prepare silk screens and performs a variety of general shop duties.Read and understand sign order requirements as written on sales orders and receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.Gather, lift and carry inventory items such as reflective sheeting, aluminum blanks, plywood, tools and finished signs, etc.Cut, prime and paint plywood.Trim edges of sheeted sign blanks.Set up and utilize sign maker computer to produce cut letters of various sizes.Mark, position and apply letters to sign face.Assist with custom layout for silk screen process.Operate squeeze roll machine.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Count incoming aluminum blanks and place in storage areas.
• Measure and cut plywood sheets to required dimensions.
• Clean signs after fabrication.
• Maintain clean work areas.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions as given.
  • Must be well organized.
  • Previous experience in sign production
