Job Description:
The Company Rescue is a full-service marketing agency with a
mission to make healthy behaviors easier and more appealing. Since
our founding in 2001, Rescue has been exclusively focused on
researching, developing, and implementing positive social change
campaigns in public health. We provide research, strategy,
creative, production, web, traditional media, social media, policy
change, youth engagement and experiential marketing services to
government, non-profit, and healthcare clients in over 25 states
and provinces, as well as to federal government agencies. Rescue’s
health behavior change marketing campaigns focus on topics such as
tobacco, obesity, substance and alcohol prevention; the promotion
of exercise, eating healthy foods, early childhood development, and
after school programs; and other topics that promote healthy
living. Rescue’s behavior change campaigns focus on diverse
populations within teen (13 - 17), young adult (18 - 26), and adult
(18) populations in both rural and urban areas, resulting in a wide
variety of campaign styles and strategies. We believe that

a healthier world. The Job Rescue Agency is seeking a dynamic and
high performing Youth Field Organizer to drive implementation of
tobacco control prevention policy campaigns across New Mexico. We
are looking for individuals who are collaborative, open to new
challenges, and have a passion for engaging and motivating youth
volunteers to lead policy campaign activities in their schools and
communities. As a Youth Field Organizer, you’ll gain: Knowledge in
key public health issues. Our country’s health is at risk with
chronic disease and obesity rates climbing. As a Youth Field
Organizer, you’ll gain access and knowledge of the tobacco control
landscape and the specific policy efforts that can contribute to
improved health outcomes. Community organizing expertise. Your
commitment begins with learning Rescue’s award-winning youth
engagement model. You are an expert in field organizing and possess
valuable campaign skills. These experiences will help distinguish
yourself in a career in community organizing, advocacy, or public
policy. Day-To-Day Activities: Recruit & Train Youth Volunteers
Recruit and train new and returning youth, including conducting
site visits, in-person and virtual training sessions, and
coordinating promotional efforts. Assist the Youth Engagement
Manager and program team with developing site visit and training
materials, including presentations, activities, and promotional
gear. Track and monitor training participants and new members,
including training projects; and Manage and maintain accurate
records and data for program youth members using the MyDot
Management system. Mobilize & Support Youth Volunteers Recruit and
encourage youth members to sign up for campaign projects and
events. Track and monitor youth members’ Measures of Progress (i.e.
surveys and support cards). Assist youth members with planning,
organizing, and implementing successful virtual and in-person
events and member meetings, as well as participate in events and
meetings to provide technical and on-the-ground support, when
needed; Assist the Youth Engagement Manager with planning and
preparing Y Street Leadership Team members for Healthy Youth Day.
Assist the Youth Engagement Manager with planning, organizing, and
implementing the annual Leadership Team Summit, including
developing and preparing presentations, activities, and promotional
gear. Maintain frequent contact with youth members to keep them
motivated and engaged with the campaigns. Communication and
Relationship-building with Partner School’s Advisors Conduct
web-based onboarding orientations for Partner Schools’ advisors.
Track Partner Schools progress towards achieving milestone
indicators. Maintain frequent contact with advisors throughout the
school year, including sending monthly updates and progress
reports. Help foster and maintain relationships and collaboration
between school advisors and youth members. Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED; Experience working with youth; Excellent
interpersonal skills (one-on-one and in a group format) –
candidates must be able to work successfully within a team;
Excellent team-building, presentation, and facilitation skills;
Commitment to mobilizing youth through strategic organizing; A
desire and ability to motivate youth to take the lead and support
youth self-determination while also creating and enforcing systems
of accountability; Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments,
and demonstrate a high degree of initiative; Flexibility and
willingness to shift and pivot in response to the current climate
and youth and program needs. High-level competency with Microsoft
Office, G Suite, or equivalent; Excellent time management skills;
Must be able to work through the entirety of the school year;
Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines; Be
solutions-focused. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in
community organizing, advocacy, or public policy; Experience
working in school environments. Location: Remote in New Mexico,
specifically Albuquerque is preferred. Status: Full-time Pay Range:
$44,000 per year. Actual compensation is dependent upon a
combination of factors including but not limited to skill set,
level of experience, level of education, and location. Benefits:

regular travel to sites across the state, many of which are not
easily accessible by public transportation. A valid driver's

environments are tobacco-free. Physical Requirements Able to remain
in a sitting position for prolonged periods of time for the
performance of duties. Able to read from a computer, laptop
monitor, or tablet for a full workday and for long periods of time
(typically 8 hours) including fonts of various sizes from a variety
of sources. If working from a Rescue office location, able to
stoop, bend, reach, climb stairs, and move freely throughout the
building. Able to travel nationwide as needed to meet with clients,
coworkers, or attend meetings and seminars. Must be able to move
boxed work documents, up to 40 pounds, in and out of office for
