    • Passion and interest in cybersecurity and risk
    • Curiosity and desire to learn
    • Must be pursuing a degree in relevant IT/IS related field, (e.g. Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) with coursework in one or more of the following areas:Functional Skills
      • Cybersecurity fundamentals
      • IT Compliance and risk management
      • Security operations and cyber threat detection
      • Threat intelligence
      • Network security engineering
      • Secure software development /engineering
      • Security ArchitectureRelevant Technical Skills and Qualifications
        • Operating systems such as Windows, Linux, MacOS
        • Coding skills in Python, Ruby, JavaScript, C++, SQL, Powershell, or other relevant languages
        • Interest or experience in the use of tools such as Splunk, Tenable, Snort, Metasploit, Burp Suite, Wireshark, nmap
        • Working knowledge of TCP/IP
        • Basic knowledge of networking and operating systems
        • Must have good problem solving, analytical, interpersonal and communication skills
        • Is a team player
        • Is highly motivated
        • Shows a strong willingness to learn
        • Ability to work autonomously
        • Attention to detail
        • Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. PPT, Word, Excel, Outlook)
        • Qualified candidates must have completed their Junior year by program start (June 2024) and on track to graduate in May/June 2025The anticipated base salary range for this position is $20.00 per hour- $30.00 per hour. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location.
