Job Description:

Perform trailer movement according to prioritization to optimize plant or warehouse efficiencies and production needs-- Hook, unhook and move trucks to and from the service department and around dock area-- Spot or position loaded and unloaded trailers at assigned dock space for unloading or loading-- Connect loaded semitrailers to tractors for the drivers-- Maintain accurate trailer and inventory movement log-- Follow steps to ensure proper operation and perform periodic preventive maintenance including pre and post trip inspections of equipment in the area-- Perform duties required to ensure that assigned area is sanitary and clean-- Wash exterior of trucks and trailers if appropriate for yard location-- Complete sales route deliveries and/or over-the-road routes, as needed-- Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries-- Attend all driver workshops and training sessions-- The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
