OverviewThis position description is subject to change at any
time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or
company.The Network Specialist Senior is responsible for managing
multiple network operations, ensuring quality standards and work
performance on all task orders and projects; planning, organizing
and overseeing network efforts; assigning resources; managing
personnel; providing risk management; ensuring quality management;
monitoring overall network operations performance. Responsible for
ensuring senior level management within the client organization, is
aware of overall network operations status, including all relevant
network and software projects and their potential impact on higher
level organizational strategic vision, this may include subject
matter and unique technical knowledge. Ensures all network
operations work is performed in accordance with (IAW) the terms and
conditions of the contract and consistently within the established
standards in this PWS and contract. ResponsibilitiesMajor Job
Activities:--- Manages software, virtual environments, and multiple
network configurations for the NIPRNet/SIPRNet.--- Conducts complex
work important to the organization. --- Contributes to measurable
team and/or organizational objectives.--- Manages the installation,
configuration, and integration of all networks, software, and
hardware.--- Manages VoIP Infrastructure Configuration,
Infrastructure, and Support.--- Ensures Accurate and Responsive
Data and Metrics Collection and Reporting.--- Integrates a variety
of software upgrades to support VoIP communication channels.---
Specifically, the C4 contract is serviced by two points of presence
and four critical communication facilities: which include voice
communications, Non-Secure Internet Protocol Router Network
(NIPRNet), Secret Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNet), and
Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication Systems (JWICS). ---
Responsible for supporting the information technology (IT)
requirements for approximately 300+ buildings. The base
infrastructure contains 16 Information Transfer Buildings (ITB),
300 End Building (EB), with 1,000 network switches and 18,000
endpoints.Material & Equipment Directly Used:--- Office computers
and equipment, telephones, Microsoft Office suite of tools,
spreadsheets and database outputs and reporting, virtual data
sharing platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and other forms
of remote work-sharing tools. Manages and maintains all essential
IT equipment and operations.--- Computers, servers, switches, patch
panels, software platforms, virtual environments, and any equipment
and software used in support of this PWS in accordance with DoD
8570.01-M.Working Environment:--- Primarily performed in an office
environment, with work in virtual space, as well as operations
centers, network/server rooms, and other datacenter environments.
--- The Network Specialist Senior must be available during duty
hours, Monday through Friday, except Federal holidays, or when the
Government installation/facility is closed for administrative
reasons.Physical Activities:--- Must be able to sit, stand, and
work at a computer for long periods of time. Sedentary work. ---
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible
amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull
or otherwise move objects, including the human body.--- May require
extended time in a computer room environment.--- Activities include
preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a
computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving
small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including
inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or
fabrication parts. QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Education /
Certifications:--- U.S. Citizen.--- Ability to obtain a Secret
Clearance.--- Bachelor's Degree in technology or computer science,
or network administration, or relevant years' experience. ---
Minimum current DoD 8570.01-M IAT-I certification
required.Experience:--- Minimum five (5) years' Information
Technology experience in managing a base-level or equivalent C4
support organization.Skills & Technology Used: ---

and buried cables--- Radio Communications and Antenna Systems, Land
Mobile Radios (LMR), and PWCS account management--- Giant
Voice/Alert Route Controllers, Towers, Strobes, Public Address
systems, and Klaxon intercom systems--- End-User systems (e.g.,
desktops, laptops, printers and other peripheral systems---
Microsoft SharePoint (SP), VTC and sVTC systems--- Microsoft Office
Suite of tools, Microsoft TEAMS and other virtual communications
platformsSupervisory / Budget Responsibilities:--- May be
responsible for identifying relevant project fiscal/budget
