Job Description:
BRIC, LLC. is seeking aPrincipal Investigator (PI) to join our
team of professionals working in a variety of service lines
including Federal, Forestry, Utilities, Water, Renewable Energy,
Transportation, and Community and Urban Planning. This position is
full-time, regular status, and salaried exempt. You will be
responsible for providing overall management of projects and
associates within the cultural resources program or client
programs.The PI is responsible for all aspects of fieldwork, report
content, and preparation of National Register of Historic Places
evaluations, preliminary evaluations of project effects, and
cultural resource management recommendations. The PI is also
responsible for managing the Cultural Resources group's direction
and business development activities. The successful candidate will
spearhead the development of new projects and client relationships,
service existing clients, and drive the success of business in New
Mexico and surrounding states. The successful candidate will also
work alongside our existing Principals and other senior staff
members to successfully navigate a variety of federal, state, and
municipal ordinances for our clients.Key Duties to Include: Timely
and cost-effective project implementation and completion of
projects.Development and tracking of project proposals including
costs and schedules. Coordinate with Principals and Program
Managers across service lines to coordinate multi-service line
projects, problem solve, and develop projects and work. Work on
multidisciplinary teams for successful project execution.Develop
resource specific recommendations for the management of cultural
resources using the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and
other applicable criteria.Coordinate with clients, agencies,
stakeholder communities including local Native American groups,
BRIC peers, subcontractors, and vendors. Maintain quality
assurance/quality control of various cultural resource work
products which support NEPA compliance for various agencies.Assist
Senior Managers and BRIC Leadership to identify new markets and
clients.A degree in anthropology or archaeology with five (5) years
of professional experience researching and evaluating aboveground
cultural resources within the CRM environment.Meets or exceeds the
qualifications detailed in 36 CFR part 61, for ArcheologyHolds or
can hold permits in the southwest region with the state of NM,
Forest Service, BLM and Navajo Nation. Evidence of having obtained
permits or currently having permits preferred.Expertise in
historical and prehistoric archaeology and the application of NHRP
criteria.Understanding of U.S. historic preservation and cultural
resource management laws and requirements, especially Section 106
of the NHPA.Basic understanding of GIS applications as they relate
to CRM.Strong technical writing skillsAbility to plan and execute
work within budget and schedule.Strong work ethic, demonstrated
leadership ability, effective communication skills, and ability to
manage multiple projects.Must be able to pass a standard background
check.Desired Qualifications:M.S. in anthropology or archaeology8
years or more of professional experience researching and evaluating
aboveground cultural resources within the CRM environment.Three (3)
years of supervisory and/or project management experience in the
CRM environment.Experience working with local Native American
groupsExperience with historical built environment
resourcesExperience working with U.S. federal agenciesExperience
with Tribal Consultations and MOAsProficiency using ESRI GIS
software and data management as applied to CRM projects.Proficiency
creating graphics for reports.Ability to hold Burial Permit with
State of New MexicoThis contractor and subcontractor shall abide by
the requirements of 41 CFR 60-1.4(a), 60-300.5(a) and 60-741.5(a).
