(Closed on Weekends)*Located in Albuquerque, NM. Working out of our Mercantile Caf-- Express in The Clyde in Downtown Albuquerque. Essential Duties and Functions/Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Work under direction of Restaurant Manager or Supervisor.
• Communicate daily with restaurant leadership regarding job assignments and required timeframe.
• Maintain high level of positive and professional approach with coworkers and guests.
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards at all times.
• Answer menu questions, and offer recommendations to guests to create a memorable dining experience.
• Comfortable with preparing different coffee beverages. (Barista experience a plus but not required).
• Check identification to ensure minimum age requirements are met for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
• Articulate the story, inspiration, and culinary mindset of the space to our guests.
• Handle all checks and cash according to procedures; accurately prepare tip reporting paperwork on time.
• Other duties as assigned consistent with the functions of this position as needed at the property.Essential Duties:

  • Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.
  • Ability to work on your feet in humid kitchen environment for eight hours or more.
  • Must be able to lift/push/reach for/carry 15+ pounds frequently.
  • Comfort with learning a point of sale systems.
  • Excellent verbal communication and ability to multitask.
  • 6 months to 1 year or equivalent combination of education and experience; high volume and/or fine dining experience preferred.
