The ideal candidate will not only coordinate claim authorization and oversee the reimbursement process, but is responsible for all revenue activities as assigned by the Home Health Director. Duties & Responsibilities:

• Running schedule report, case manager report, 4 month rolling report and patient dashboard report daily, and saving information to share site.
• Updating Hospice dashboard and Authorizations app, refreshing information throughout the workday, and saving to share sight.
• Updating authorization status of patients' schedules in billing software daily.
• Monitoring the status of authorizations from insurance companies.
• Fielding calls from patients, staff, family members and insurance companies.
• Participating in educational activities and attends monthly staff meetings.
• Maintaining strictest patient confidentiality according to all HIPAA guidelines & regulations. Requirements
  
  Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Knowledge of computer programs.
  • Knowledge of business office procedures to include a basic understanding of accounting.
  • Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices.
  • Ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment.
  • Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system.
  • Skill in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.
  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
  • 2+ years of applicable healthcare reimbursement experience is preferred. Benefits
