Role DescriptionA Kitchen Team Member s primary job function may vary as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or Director, but the responsibility does not change. That responsibility is to serve hot or cold, fresh Chick-fil-A Menu Items in a clean kitchen with equipment that is well maintained and well-cared-for using all Chick-fil-AFood Safety Standards and TMDP*methods for cleaning and maintaining the restaurant and its equipment. The job of a Kitchen Team Member requires thorough training on all recipes and procedures and regular review of those procedures to ensure the products are made according to the latest prescribed methods using the proper ingredients and techniques. The Kitchen Team works long shifts on their feet in uncomfortable situations such as extreme heat or cold to perform the responsibilities of their job. This job requires a commitment to personal excellence and to personal growth. Additionally, the position requires positive, effective communication in English. The Kitchen Team sets the pace for the entire restaurant. There is almost nothing done in front that is not affected by the back, so this job may be stressful at times and requires a cool disposition.Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • To produce hot or cold, fresh Chick-fil-A menu items AND to have them ready for service to an in-house guest in less than 30 seconds
  • To prepare and package catering orders and tray orders as required
  • To follow procedures and methods taught in TMDPand by your kitchen Trainer and/or Manager
  • To perform job duties in a prescribed manner so as to ensure Health and Safety of our guests are protected at all times and by everyone
  • To maintain a clean work environment and to adhere to all Chick-fil-A and City of Albuquerque and surrounding metropolitan area health standards
  • To maintain a constant awareness of yourself and others to prevent injuries
  • To perform as part of a team, exhibiting leadership as needed but with humility and willingness to serve in whatever capacity required
  • Unload and check-in deliveries according to Chick-fil-A procedures being careful to protect the quality and security of the items delivered
  • Communicate with leadership about equipment, facility, supply, or product issues in a timely manner
  • Use good judgment about obstacles to food preparation, making timely repairs to equipment, and resolving other situations as they ariseJob Requirements and Performance Measures
    • Must wear approved TeamStyle uniforms, hats, hairnets, and Chick-fil-A apron, and nametag
    • Must complete all available TMDP* and additional training and recertification as recommended
    • Must meet time and quality requirements as measured by ROE, QRA, and restaurant goals
    • Must arrive to work so as to be in position and ready to work at scheduled time
