Position Description Nuclear Deterrence SME Location NM-Albuquerque Job Code 7307 # of openings 1 Apply Now (/phg04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=AKIMEKATECH&cws=43&rid=7307) The Alakaina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) has a need for a Nuclear Deterrence Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the Advanced Search and Discovery (ASD) capabilities of the Defense Threat Reduction Information Analysis Center (DTRIAC) and its Advanced Search and Discovery (ASD) program out of Albuquerque, NM. DUTIES INCLUDE: + Research, prepare, and present recommendations to DTRA senior leaders on programs, policies, data management, and data collection relating to nuclear deterrence. + Continue the formation and use of an active inventory system for reportable nuclear deterrent items/artifacts. + Secure, maintain, and update classified documentation. + Identify and segregate records for classified NSI originated by DTRA and exclusions for RD/FRD; identify and segregate documents containing classified National Security Information (NSI) for referral to other agencies for declassification review. + Protect nuclear and conventional weapons systems and other resources + Conduct vulnerability & design analysis and execute the design, engineering, and implementation functions of complex physical security systems within DoD, DOE, and other government agencies. + Support in compensatory measures, and vulnerability assessment approaches within NNSA physical protection strategies. + Travel to various high-security CONUS/OCONUS facilities to support site surveys, assessments, implementation, acceptance testing, and post-installation of physical security and central alarm stations (CAS). + Collaborate between multiple international and internal government agencies (DoD/ DTRA, DOE, DHS) on various Nuclear Deterrence, Nonproliferation & National Security and Chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense (CBRN) projects. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: + At least ten (10) years relevant experience is preferred. + Experience working with government nuclear deterrence programs and policies. + Experience managing nuclear deterrence capabilities and survivability of nuclear assets. + Experience working with validation and verification (V&V) models in a DoD/Federal environment. + Experience and expertise in the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) field. + Experience supporting compliance with federal laws and executive orders. + Experience maintaining knowledge centers with classified and unclassified information (media and document libraries). + May be required to travel. DESIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: + Bachelors degree in nuclear science or nuclear engineering preferred; Masters degree in same field highly desired.
