CS also helps to make Intel and our community a greener place by supporting Intel's commitment to environmental sustainability, including investing in conservation projects, setting company-wide environmental targets and driving reductions in greenhouse emissions, energy use, water use and waste generation.As a Facilities Instrumentation and Control and Life Safety Systems Engineer your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:+ Design, install, manage, and maintain equipment which is used to monitor and control engineering systems, machinery and processes. Instrumentation is vital in measuring and controlling parameters such as pressure, flow, temperature, current, and voltage by gathering information from the field and then changing its parameters via a control loop. + Aim to improve productivity, stability, safety, continuity and optimization through measurement, automation and control processes. + Prepare engineering assessments and provide technical operations direction on construction designs, conduct troubleshooting and root cause failure analyses as well as drive engineering solutions to address and rectify issues and manage long term equipment improvement initiatives. + Establishes and submits process requirements to be met when designing and acquiring instrumentation equipment. + Act as a liaison to daily tactical operations customer requests. + Life Safety Systems operations and maintenance. + Managing system capacity, reliability and uptime as well as all documentation required to safely operate our LSS system. + This position includes both sustaining and construction support for Fire/Evacuation, Early Warning Smoke Detection, Liquid Leak Detection, Tool Annunciation System (TAS), and Hazardous Production Material (HPM) alarm systems and detection equipment. + PLC programming and troubleshooting for the HPM and TAS system and associated I/O point management, implementing, tracking and managing continuous improvement projects. + Role model safety practices at all times.The successful candidate should exhibit the following behavioral traits:+ Expertise to work effectively as an individual with minimal direction, and as part of a larger team. + Presentation skills and expertise to communicate strategic and tactical concepts across a wide range of employees; engineering peers to operational technicians to management. + Willingness to off shift work and on call coverage as needed.What we offer:+ We give you opportunities to transform technology and create a better future, by delivering products that touch the lives of every person on earth. You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.Position not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.Minimum Qualifications:+ Candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering degree with 1+ years of work experience, or a Master's Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering.Preferred Qualifications:+ 1+ year of Hands-on experience working with databases. + 1+ year of experience in Hardware and software programming knowledge of PLC's. + 1+ year of experience of IT/SCADA networks. + 1+ year of experience in controls systems. Experience can be obtained via coursework and/or internship. + 1+ year of experience of standard industrial Mechanical, Electrical and Process (MEP) systems to be able to interact, plan and coordinate the activities of MEP engineers and technicians in support of troubleshooting and/or integrating control changes to their system to achieve the required results. + 1+ year of experience developing, designing, testing, and commissioning new control systems.
