Job Description:

The company is looking for a Chief Systems Engineer to report to the Deputy Program Manager is assigned responsibility, accountability and authority to establish processes governing the systems engineering scope necessary for successful product delivery. This position is located in Albuquerque, NM. Duties Include:* Implementation of process improvements, oversight, and regular reports to program and functional management and will assure specifications and requirements are developed, established, executed and maintained consistent with the program requirements baseline* Oversee ongoing risk mitigation measures for subcontracts, internal work, and inter-divisional work needs for the EDIS program, adherence to Government contract and regulatory requirements and compliance with company directives* Develop, implement and oversee adherence to necessary metrics and standards for judging successful systems engineering process execution inclusive of subcontracting and procurement systems execution for all critical parts/components* Documenting, tracking, and periodic reporting to program management and the Government compliance with standards, deviations, and corrective actionsQualifications* Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program with a minimum of 18 years for related experience. Minimum of 10 plus years of systems engineering experience with satellite flight, ground systems and/or ground support equipment.* Must have an active Top Secret clearance with ability SCI to obtain within six months.* Experience and knowledge of Government contracts, subcontracts, interdivisional work agreements, finance and business operations methods, and techniques.* Experience managing and overseeing the development of engineering documentation and procedures including Configuration Management and Risk Management.* Background and demonstrated successful accountability implementing systems engineering processes cost effectively at an op-tempo compatible with and conducive to effective program execution. * Demonstrated familiarity with (and ability to judge adherence to) standard program management tools (e.g. an Integrated master Schedule (IMS), an earned value system (EVMS)), Government standards, regulations, and contract provisions, and SAIC directives and procedures.
