Job Description:
UniFirst Corporation, a leader in the provision of workplace
uniforms and protective work wear, is seeking a dedicated Route
Service Manager to oversee our route service team in the
Transportation & Logistics department. This position is crucial for
ensuring efficient delivery and service operations while upholding
our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction. The Route
Service Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of
route operations, client management, and team leadership, ensuring
that our services meet the high standards that our clients expect
from a renowned company like UniFirst. Oversee daily operations of
route service drivers and staff including service delivery,
customer interaction, and troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with
all company policies and regulations, as well as federal, state,
and local guidelines. Manage training and development of team
members for enhanced performance and career progression. Conduct
regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Develop strategies to increase productivity and efficiency within
the department. Maintain strong relationships with current clients
and assist in the development of new business opportunities.
Prepare reports on departmental activities and progress. Manage
budgets and forecast departmental needs. Strong leadership and team
management skills Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills Solid
understanding of route planning and logistics management
Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics Familiarity
with industry safety standards and regulations Medical Insurance

Distribution (CLTD) Fleet Management Certification (optional but
advantageous)
