The System Administrator responsibilities include: Managing the day to day VmWare environment and providing general system administration for the organization; Will provide end user support as needed and serve as an escalation point for VmWare and System administration related issues; Implementing systems and processes consistent with organizational requirements, strategic objectives and security initiatives; Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and support of virtual infrastructure, application servers, database servers, file servers, backup systems, security appliances, SAN's, local/wide area networks, and participation in completing open service desk tickets; Support security and risk based audit initiatives, conduct capacity planning, performance monitoring,patch deployment, vulnerability remediation and troubleshooting; Other duties as neededThe successful System Administrator will have 3+ years of work related experience; Experience with VmWare vCenter and ESXi; Microsoft Server Operating Systems, Windows Server Failover Clusters, Exchange administration, Active Directory, and relevant experience with Windows Personal Computing Operating Systems, Microsoft Office, Microsoft SQL, Citrix administration, Dell/EMC backup and disaster recovery technologies, and VOIP; Cisco and Dell server management, SAN administration, infrastructure upgrades and patching; Position is subject to stressful detail oriented relationships; must have well developed communication and customer service skills; Timely follow up to customers is a key to effective performance; Working hours and locations may vary, so flexibility with regards to the work schedule is important; To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. This includes a demonstrated competency in the administration of the technology infrastructure.
