Position Title: Senior Systems Administrator III Work Location:
Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM Job Summary: Galapagos Federal
Systems, LLC is looking to immediately fill our open Senior Systems
Administrator III position. The individual shall assist the IT
office by working within Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting
the DoD. The position will provide "day-to-day" direct support for
Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP
networks to ensure JSIG criteria is followed. Task may include, but
are not limited to:
- Maintain network and standalone servers, workstations, network
access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as
required.
- Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum
performance.
- Prepare systems for operational use and support operational
tests.
- Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement
countermeasures.
- Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and
disposed of in accordance with security policies and
practices.
- Perform Video Teleconference (VTC) System administration,
scheduling, and configuration, as needed.
- Provide network direct client support.
- Provide account creations, modifications, and deletions.
- Provide direct multi-level Help Desk support and
troubleshooting of all hardware and software.
- Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and
modifications.
- Provide desktop and laptop configuration and support.
- Provide Communication Security (COMSEC) custodian related
duties for classified IT admin systems as requested.Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: (Not listed in order of importance;
other duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the
following with minimal guidance:
- Provide independent assessments of the Air Force and U.S. Space
Force IT posture and advise USSF/TE leadership on decision
options
- Initiate, supervise, and/or develop requirements from a
project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex
programs
- Provide strategic advice, technical guidance, and expertise to
test range program and staff
- Provide detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for
improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts
for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
- Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible
for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job
- Configures, operates, monitors, secures, and sustains all
internal network devices
- Maintains rack space assigned to the equipment and ensures
connectivity to the LAN. Repairs or replaces any defective cabling
in the network
- Installs, removes, relocates, and maintains existing horizontal
and vertical cable infrastructure, to include cabling on wall drop
boxes, equipment racks, cable trays, rack mounted UPS, switches,
routers and servers
- Provides internal hardware and software accountability support
to the logistics section. A
- Assembles, installs, disassembles, uninstalls, and moves IT and
electronic equipment in offices and common-use areas.

functions. IT Access Levels and Certifications: Employee must
possess and maintain IA computing environment certifications and
access levels in accordance with DoD Directives (DoDD)
8140/8570.01-M. The employee should have Security+ or equivalent to
meet DoD 8570.01-M Info Assurance Manager II compliance. Per DoD
8570.01-M, IAM II requirements are listed below: CAP, CASP+CE,
CISM, CISSP (or associate), GSLC, CCISO, HCISPP. Note: Security+ CE
does meet IAM level I Education and/or Experience/Skills Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
or related discipline. Relevant work experience and training may be
considered in lieu of a degree, similar to Office of Personnel
Management's (OPM) Crediting Combinations of Education and
Experience standard.
- 10+ years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within
the last five (5) years
- Recognized industry leader with strong analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and presentation skills
- Proven ability to be innovative and creative and capable of
conveying complex information in a simplistic manner
- Ability to work autonomously and interface easily with team
members and senior leadership
- Aerospace/industry strategy experience
- May be required to work out side of normal business hours and
occasional requested to work long than standard work

- Must be a U.S. CitizenPhysical Requirements: Work may involve
sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may
require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have enough
mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and
kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner.
May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
Security Clearance: DoD active security clearance may be required
at a high-level security. Applicants selected will be subject to a
security investigation and may need to meet eligibility
