Encantado Technical Solutions (ETS) is an unpopulated Small Business Administration-approved mentor-prot--g-- joint venture between Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. and ECS Federal, LLC. ETS is bolstered by second-tier subcontractors Information International Associates (IIA) and Amentum. ETS provides comprehensive enterprise and mission-embedded IT support for the $400 - $700 million Third-Party Telecommunications and Information Technology Support Services contract at Sandia National Laboratories. ETS is currently recruiting for a variety of cleared and uncleared IT positions with on-site and remote opportunities in New Mexico and California. As ETS is unpopulated, employees will work for one of the four companies listed above. ETS is looking for a part time Linux System Administrator, providing support for Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM! Statement of work: The Unmanned System & Autonomy R&D group is part of the Robotics Manufacturing Science and Engineering Laboratory, which include High Consequence Automation, Unique Robotic Mobility/Manipulation, Wearable Robotics for Human Assistive Devices, Advanced Control Systems, Custom Mechatronics, Cybernetics, and Simulation-Based Training, Response, and Operations. Tasks:

  • Perform Linux System Administration functions - add users, add devices, VmWare, and monitoring
  • COTS and custom application installation and maintenance activities.
  • Documentation of work status in accordance with team standards.
  • Supporting windows-based systems integrated to serial interface engineering equipment
  • Supporting Windows based systems integrated to VTC systems
  • Configuring firewalls, network and clusters
  • Develop Ansible, Python and Bash script for automating System Administration tasksRequired Skills:
    • AA in Computer Science related field and Four (4) years related experience
    • Linux System Administration in a large corporate environment, at least 3-4 years - Experience Ubuntu 18.04 and 20.04 - Experience with Ansible playbook - Experience in configuring firewalls, networking, small clusters
      • Familiarity with network protocols, network management technologies, and network troubleshooting
      • Skill utilizing software diagnostic tools and the ability to conduct appropriate troubleshooting processes and conduct appropriate upgrades
      • Collects, defines, and organizes detailed user requirements; defines, plans and deliverables for assigned projects; understands and complies with project budgets; conceptualizes, constructs, tests, implements, and/or operates integrated infrastructure solutions; recommends training plans; and leads continuous improvement activities.
      • Demonstrated programming experience in bash script, python
      • Ability to understand the application and utilization of software packages, maintain accurate records
      • Ability to research, assemble, and evaluate information or data regarding industry practices or applicable regulatory changes and recommend sound, practical solutions to complex issues
      • Ability to define systems requirements based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms
      • Ability to define technical standards and functionality tests, and to develop specifications, prototypes, or initial user guides
      • Excellent customer service and communication skills with customers and vendors
      • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
      • Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
      • Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish and manage user accounts, upgrade and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
      • US Citizen and must have an active DOE L Clearance to start or DoD Secret with reciprocityDesired Skills:
        • Prior working experience with Sandia infrastructure
        • Experience with Landscape server, configurations, and deployments
        • Windows system administration experience at least 1-4 years
        • Automation platforms such as, VMware, Python at least 1-3 years
        • Experience leading and implementing large technical solutions
        • Red Hat Certified Engineer/Network Certified and/or Ubuntu/Debian equivalents
        • Experience in Bash, PowerShell, or other scripting language for automating System Admin tasks or troubleshooting existing processes
        • Experience with container technology, such as Kubernetes, RKE, Docker, etc.
        • Virtualization, servers, storage, and networking equipment experience
        • Experience with Elastic Sky X Integrated (ESXI), which is a type-1 hypervisor, meaning it runs directly on system hardware, without the need for an operating system (OS)
