Job Description:

Position Summary
Assist Payroll Supervisor in processing an efficient and accurate payroll and maintaining appropriate payroll reports.

Supervision Exercised
Supervised by the Payroll Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities
1.Customer service for associates; i.e., paycheck questions.
2.Reconciles tip reporting for the payroll calculation.
3.Enters and reconciles payroll data including deductions, paid time off, leave of absence, additional incomes, shortages, gaming license, badges, etc., in preparation of printing paychecks.
4.Prepares and distributes departmental reports.
5.Maintains confidential payroll information and reports.
6.Prints payroll checks and stuffs the envelopes.
7.Maintains time clocks, arrange for repairs, reset, etc.
8.Performs additional duties as necessary.

  • Ability to maintain files in an orderly and updated fashion.
  • Ability to research, compile, and analyze complex data in order to draw appropriate conclusions.
  • Ability to exhibit strong initiative and motivational commitment to the organization.
  • Ability to deal effectively with casino employees and be a team player.
  • Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Ability to file, use a computer, and standard office machine equipment.
  • Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and confidential records. Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

    Required:
  • High School Diploma or GED certification.
  • One (1) year experience in payroll or other related accounting or bookkeeping position.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. Licensing Status
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required Gaming License.
  • Will require a post-offer, pre-employment and random drug screening. Working Conditions
  • Work is performed indoors.
  • Work hours subject to change with overtime work required.
  • Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions.
  • Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm: smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors and elevated noise levels.
  • Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces.
  • Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching.
  • Specific required movements include the following:
    Trunk-bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry

    Arms-reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate

    Legs-lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate

    Hands-grasp, manipulate, bilateral coordination, eye and hand coordination, overall and finger dexterity.
