seeking an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in
New Mexico, requiring at least 2 years of PACU experience and prior
travel nursing experience. Details - Recovery Room (PACU) setting
within a hospital environment - Full-time schedule of 4x10-hour day
shifts per week (40 hours/week) - Rotating weeknight and weekend
shifts required - 30-minute on-call callback response time required
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20
miles is required - Epic EMR used; on-site training available for
those without prior Epic experience Requirements - Active NM or
Compact RN license required - Current certifications required: BLS,
ACLS, and PALS — all completed through AHA, American Health and
Safety, or American Red Cross - Minimum 2 years of current PACU
experience required - At least one prior 13-week travel nursing
assignment required - ADN or ASN degree required - Must be a team
player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment -
English proficiency required (speak, read, write) Additional
Information - Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan,
implement, evaluate, and document individualized patient care -
Coordinates care in collaboration with patients, families, and the
interdisciplinary healthcare team - Administers medications and
treatments per physician orders or standard protocols - Provides
clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel -
Identifies patient and family education and discharge needs
throughout the episode of care - Must pass a Basic Cardiac
Arrhythmia (BCA) test during the first week of the assignment —
failure to pass will result in dismissal - Candidates must reside
more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local
candidates are not accepted - Former permanent staff of this health
system must wait one year before being considered as a traveler
