Team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine NM and Make a
Difference in Veterans' Healthcare We are seeking a highly skilled
and dedicated Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General
Medicine to provide essential services through Veterans Evaluation
Services (VES). This pivotal role offers the opportunity to
contribute to the care of our nation's Veterans while enjoying

Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Mexico
Proven experience in general medicine, family medicine, internal
medicine, or related fields Ability to perform Compensation &
Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments Strong interview
and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and
muscle strength testing Excellent organizational skills and
attention to detail Ability to work independently while adhering to
standardized protocols Reliable access to your own office within a
50-mile radius of the specified locations Nice to Have Skills:
Prior experience with military/civilian medical assessments
Familiarity with government contracting or VA-related procedures
Background in orthopedic surgery or related specialties Travel
flexibility within assigned areas Preferred Education and
Experience: Graduate degree as a Nurse Practitioner from an
accredited institution Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice in
general or internal medicine Previous experience conducting
compensation and pension exams is a plus Other Requirements: Own
office location within a 50-mile radius of Silver City or Deming,
NM, Hobbs, NM, or Grants, NM Ability to commit to ½ or full days,
with flexible scheduling (2 days/week in Silver City or Deming, 1
day/week in Hobbs, and ½ day/week in Grants) Reliable internet and
technology to submit reports and communicate efficiently Successful
completion of required training and onboarding processes
Compensation is based on flat rates for half-days ($600) and full
days ($1,200), with a one-time bonus of $650 for initial training
and first exam performance Local candidates only; travel costs are
included in rates Position begins on March 6, 2026, and is ongoing
