Nuclear Medicine Tech Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,788 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year required License: Required Certifications: ARRT N or NMTCB, ARRT R, BLS, state license; PET license preferred Must-Have: - COVID vaccination required - No locals within 100 miles - No RQI certifications Description: No local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be accepted. COVID vaccination is required, with religious and medical exemptions accepted upon completion of the exemption form. The position requires certification in nuclear medicine and a state license. Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings is required. The types of cases include adults and geriatrics, with preferred experience in neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents. The work involves various diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging, including cardiac studies, bone scans, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, renograms, and infection imaging. Experience in SPECT/CT and PET/CT scanning for various diagnostic procedures is essential. Therapies such as I-131, Xofigo, and Lutathera will be included in the responsibilities. The role involves drawing venous blood, starting and maintaining IVs, and safely storing, handling, and disposing of radioactive materials. A call requirement is minimal, primarily during weekdays from 4 PM to 6 AM and 6 AM to 6 AM on weekends. The work environment involves a teaching hospital setting with a focus on trauma care. All candidates should be prepared to fulfill special skill requirements, including the use of PACS and performing specific nuclear medicine procedures.
