Job Description Health Information Management Director Location:
Los Alamos, NM Salary: $137,000 – $163,000 | Full-Time We are
seeking an experienced Health Information Management Director to
lead and oversee the Health Information Management (HIM) department
within a hospital environment. This leadership role is responsible
for ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of patient
health information while supporting operational and regulatory
standards. Key Responsibilities: Direct and manage HIM department
operations, including medical records and documentation processes
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and privacy
standards, including HIPAA Oversee audits, data integrity, and
health information systems Manage departmental staffing,
performance, and professional development Develop and implement
departmental goals, policies, and operational improvements Monitor
departmental budgets and ensure efficient use of resources
Qualifications: RHIT or RHIA certification required Bachelor’s
degree in a related field preferred (relevant experience may
substitute) Proven leadership experience in Health Information
Management within a healthcare setting Strong understanding of
healthcare compliance, documentation standards, and HIM systems If
