Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CTICU - Cardiothoracic Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/20/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ICU Job Details: • Work in Cardiothoracic Vascular ICU (CTVICU) with CVICU experience preferred • Patient ratio 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends • 36 or 48 contracted hours per week with guaranteed hours • Weekend coverage as needed • May float to other ICUs, PCU floors, ED to care for admitted patients, PACU to care for admitted patients • No on-call requirements • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, NIHSS • 2 years of experience required, first-timers accepted • 72 hours of orientation provided • Black scrubs required • Charting system: Cerner • Special procedures include post-op open hearts, bedside tach/peg, bedside surgical procedures, CRRT, ECMO, IABP, Impella, SWANN lines, arterial lines, CVCs, chest tubes, Foley insertion, NG tubes • Patient diagnoses include CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, femoral-popliteal bypass, pulmonary embolism, cardiac arrest, endovascular repair, heart failure, MODS, sepsis • Equipment includes CRRT, Hemosphere, Bladder scanner, Cortrak, ultrasound, Phillips monitors, Impella, IABP, ECMO, ZOLL, Dopplers, Glidescope, Pupilometer, Blanketrol, Arctic Sun, Belmont, BairHugger • Care for adult and geriatric patients in 12-bed unit • Must live more than 100 miles from facility • New contracts and extensions must be at least 10 weeks • RTO restrictions apply - greater than 7 days needs approval Facility: This healthcare organization operates as a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital with a children's hospital component, providing comprehensive acute care services.
