Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Nurse
Manager to lead our dynamic team within our highly respected
inpatient rehabilitation hospitals. The Nurse Manager will play a
crucial role in overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing
care and will ensure our standards align with the mission of
providing first-rate, comprehensive rehabilitation and home-based
healthcare. This position involves managing nursing staff,
collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and supporting patient
care while aligning with regulatory compliance and enhancing
patient outcomes. Oversee daily operations of nursing departments,
ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that improve
patient care and ensure safety. Manage staffing needs, including
hiring, training, and ongoing professional development of nursing
personnel. Conduct performance evaluations and implement
disciplinary measures when necessary. Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate comprehensive
patient care. Manage budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
Stay updated with the latest healthcare standards and innovations
to continually enhance service quality. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and
accreditation standards Proficient in healthcare management systems
and electronic health records Ability to handle high-stress
environments and make critical decisions Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Certified Nurse
Manager and Leader (CNML) credential preferred
