Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,432 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87106! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 0700-1930 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two years of current experience required in an 18-plus bed telemetry/progressive care unit. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment. License: State Nursing License (New Mexico or Compact State) Certifications: Required BLS and ACLS certifications. BLS and ACLS must be completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross. Must-Have: Selected candidates must successfully pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test. Candidates will not be able to start an assignment until they have passed this onsite administered test. Failure to pass will result in one opportunity to retest. A second failure will result in contract cancellation and all applicable fees. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of licensed and non-licensed assistive personnel. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Epic EMR experience preferred. NIHSS certification is preferred.
