Job Description Full-time Co-Medical Director in Custody Health for Large Public Health and Hospital System in Silicon Valley Better Health for All Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH), a large public teaching healthcare system, affiliated with Stanford University School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Co-Medical Director in Custody Health who is BC in Family Medicine and Internal Medicine to lead our dynamic practice in the County’s Correctional Facilities. About Our Organization Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) is the second-largest County-owned health and hospital system in California and is committed to improving the health of the 1.9 million people of Santa Clara County. About the Adult Custody Health Services (ACHS) Our adult custody system includes the Main Jail in San Jose, Elmwood Men’s Facility and Correctional Center for Women in Milpitas. The Custody Health Services team provides comprehensive primary, preventive health and urgent care services to our patients. As an integrated part of our large health system, our custody physicians have access to full range of specialty services. About the Position We are seeking physicians for a leadership role as the Co-Medical Director in Adult Custody Health with an interest in health equity, correctional medicine, and service to vulnerable and underserved populations. As the Co-Medical Director, in a 40-hours work week, there will be seven half days of clinical assignments and one-half day of patient care coordination time, and two half days of administrative time. Physicians will join a dynamic Medical Staff and a dedicated team of adult custody primary care physicians.
