Job Description Job Description Description: SUMMARY: The MAT
Director provides strategic leadership for the HRSA RCORP-MAT
Access initiative, a federally funded effort to expand access to
Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder (OUD)
in rural communities. This position is responsible for managing the
day-to-day operations of the project, building and sustaining
collaborative partnerships, and ensuring the program meets all
grant deliverables, compliance requirements, and performance goals.
The Director will work to reduce treatment barriers and support a
low-threshold, community-informed, and culturally responsive MAT
system. Requirements: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Serve as the
primary point of contact for HRSA and ensure compliance with all
reporting and documentation requirements. · Lead planning,
implementation, and monitoring of all MAT Access project activities
in alignment with HRSA RCORP objectives. · Oversee grant timelines,
budgets, staffing, and performance milestones. · Build and maintain
strong, multidisciplinary partnerships with healthcare providers,
behavioral health agencies, criminal justice systems, public health
departments, tribal entities, and community-based organizations. ·
Facilitate regular consortium or workgroup meetings to align goals,
share data, and foster collaboration. · Collaborate with
prescribers and clinics to increase MAT initiation, especially
among high-risk populations (justice-involved, Indigenous,
uninsured, etc.). · Work with the evaluator and data team to
collect and report performance metrics as required by HRSA,
including patient engagement, retention, and health outcomes. · Use
data to inform continuous quality improvement efforts and adapt
services to meet evolving community needs. · Support the
development or enhancement of care coordination pathways, peer
support programs, and harm reduction interventions. · Develop
strategies to integrate and sustain MAT services beyond the grant
period through reimbursement optimization, policy alignment, and
system-wide engagement. · Support the recruitment, retention, and
professional development of the local MAT workforce. · Communicates
effectively with SFRC staff, persons served, and external agencies
to coordinate care and data exchange. · Coordinate and collaborate
with other Directors across the organization to ensure streamlined
services · Participate as a member of the leadership team within
the organization · Other duties as assigned. Requirements
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: 1. Attention to detail, communication,
planning, project management, risk assessment analysis, resource
management. Must be able to work well under pressure and
demonstrate good time management and organizational skills. 2.
Knowledge and skills pertaining to time-effective behavioral health
care treatment approaches. 3. Experience providing services to the
grant’s target population including familiarity with relevant
culture(s) and language(s). 4. Experience with federally and
privately funded grant operations. 5. Ability to work with diverse
teams of people. 6. Advanced Excel user. 7. Familiarity with
electronic health record system. 8. Strong written and oral skills
are necessary 9. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all
levels of staff within the organization and external stakeholders.
11. Have or ability to obtain and maintain a State of New Mexico
Criminal Records Clearance Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor’s
degree (required); Master’s degree (preferred) in human services
related field. 2. 4 years or more experience managing federal
grants 3. Project Management experience 4. Experience with federal
grants management and Implementation preferred 5. Experience
supervising staff and managing a team 6. 5 years’ experience in
healthcare and/or nonprofit experience.
