ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ED - Emergency Department - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 17 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - ED Job Details: • Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during shift • Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable patient care • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team • Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care • Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing • Must successfully pass Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test onsite before starting assignment • One opportunity to re-test if failed; second failure results in contract cancellation • Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles required • Two years current experience in large ED required • Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required • New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS • BLS, ACLS, and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • Epic experience preferred but not required; onsite training available Facility: This healthcare facility operates as a 24/7 urgent and emergency care center providing comprehensive emergency medical services to the community.
