nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in
Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements -

Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU
/n/n Job Details: /n • Utilize the nursing process to provide
direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift
/n• Two (2) years current experience required in an 18-plus bed
telemetry/progressive care unit /n• Must successfully complete at
least one 13-week travel assignment /n• Must successfully pass a
BCA (Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia) test administered onsite before
starting assignment /n• One opportunity to re-test if initial BCA
test is failed; second failure results in contract cancellation /n•
Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles
is required /n• Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to
fast-paced environment /n• Provide safe, effective,
patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients
/n• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual
patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses /n• Coordinate
patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and
healthcare team /n• Administer medication and treatments as
prescribed by physician or standard protocols /n• Identify and meet
patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode
of care /n• Assume responsibility for clinical supervision of LPNs
and non-licensed assistive personnel /n• Required certifications:
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS /n•
BLS and ACLS must be completed through American Heart Association,
American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross /n• Required
education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of
Science in Nursing (ASN) /n• Epic EMR experience preferred /n•
NIHSS certification preferred /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare
facility operates a progressive care unit with 18 beds providing
telemetry and advanced monitoring services for patients requiring
intermediate-level care. The facility maintains high standards for
patient safety and clinical excellence, requiring specialized
cardiac arrhythmia knowledge and competency testing for all nursing
