Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Rio Rancho, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,092 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/9/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, 87144! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Must have current nursing license; pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS required; NIH preferred Must-Have: Experience in medical/surgical nursing, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, starting IVs, and heparin administration. Description: Seeking a registered nurse for a medical surgical unit. The position will involve typical medical surgical patients, including but not limited to exacerbations of chronic heart failure, pneumonia, cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, fractures requiring surgical intervention, small bowel obstructions, pancreatitis, and sepsis. The nurse will perform essential care for patients undergoing various surgical procedures such as total joint replacements and gastric bypass. Patient ratios are typically 1:6. Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are mandatory, along with a preference for NIHSS certification. No titrating drips are administered in this department, with the exception of heparin. The ideal candidate will be skilled in wound care, including wound vac management, and be knowledgeable in the use of various respiratory equipment. The unit offers interdisciplinary support, including physical therapy and respiratory services. Candidates should be fully available and ready to work on compliance in the first week. This position requires personal transportation to the facility.
