Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - PCU /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 0.9 FTE 36 hours (3x12) varied shift schedule - mainly days with possible nights occasionally /n• Day and night shifts will not be scheduled back-to-back /n• Work weekends as needed /n• On call/call back coverage: 12 hours every 4 weeks /n• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:7 /n• Float between departments and local locations within 20 miles as required /n• Provide direct patient care using nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation /n• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols /n• Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams /n• Care for medically complex patient population awaiting community placement in long-term stay setting /n• Provide nursing care for Med/Surg level patients without direct escalation path to ICU /n• Recognize, de-escalate, and respond to deteriorating patient conditions /n• Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel /n• Must successfully pass onsite Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test before starting assignment /n• Required: 2 years current experience in 18 bed telemetry or progressive care unit /n• Required: Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment /n• Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State nursing license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS /n• Required education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) /n• No charge or precepting responsibilities /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a progressive care unit that provides specialized nursing care for medically complex patients.
