Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A registered nurse with a focus on operating room care is sought for a contract position located in Belen, NM. This role offers the opportunity to work within surgical services, providing critical patient care throughout perioperative procedures. The schedule includes four 10-hour day shifts per week, running from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with call responsibilities approximately 4 to 5 shifts every six weeks, including weekends. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care in the operating room setting, closely monitoring patient status pre-, intra-, and post-operation. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety, sterile technique adherence, and efficient surgical flow. - Respond promptly to call shifts, providing expert nursing support as needed. - Float between two neighboring healthcare facilities, maintaining flexibility and adaptability in diverse clinical environments. Qualifications and Desired Experience: - Active RN license with specialization in operating room nursing. - Preferred minimum of 2 years of OR experience; candidates with at least 1 year may be considered. - Previous travel nursing experience is preferred, but first-time travelers are also encouraged to apply. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. - Ability to work call shifts and float between facilities. - Professional approach to patient care and teamwork.
