The hospital provides comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties while maintaining high patient care standards. The facility offers both inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities to serve the regional healthcare needs. About the Facility Location Southern New Mexico is full of attractions and activities to do while on assignment! If you enjoy being outdoors, visit the Ski Apache mountain biking and hiking trails or the Carlsbad Caverns National Park! About the Clinician's Workday The clinician will provide anesthesia services during 8, 10, or 12-hour day shifts covering orthopedic, vascular, spine, neurological, obstetric, and gastrointestinal cases, as well as regional blocks. Pediatric experience is considered beneficial, though cardiac and thoracic cases are excluded from the scope of practice. The position requires participation in call coverage at a 1:12-15 ratio with a 60% callback rate, and board certification with prescriptive authority is mandatory. Credentialing requires 90 days, though temporary privileges are available to expedite the start process.
