A specialized nursing opportunity is available working night shifts in a progressive care unit focused on cardiovascular patients. This contract position offers the choice of 36 or 48 hours per week, providing flexibility for your scheduling needs. Candidates with at least one year of RN experience will be considered, though those with two or more years are preferred. Location: Situated in Edgewood, NM, this role is based at a healthcare facility known for providing advanced cardiovascular care within a dedicated 55-bed progressive care unit. Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiovascular patients in a stepdown environment, maintaining a ratio of 1 nurse to 4 patients. - Adhere to documentation standards using EPIC electronic health records. - Participate in floating to other departments as needed, supporting dynamic patient care demands. - Work a consistent night shift schedule, typically four 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00. - Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. - Maintain required certifications and comply with unit policies and procedures. Qualifications / Desired Experience: - Active RN license with experience in stepdown or progressive care units, preferably cardiovascular. - Minimum one year of nursing experience; two years preferred. - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI certification is preferred. - Ability to work night shifts and float as necessary. - Comfortable with EPIC health documentation systems. - Willingness to participate in weekend rotations as needed.
