Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,790 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albuquerque, New Mexico, 87102! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 years preferred, previous travel experience preferred License: Valid RN license required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS preferred Must-Have: - Epic experience required - Floating required to all PCU units, med surg, ICU for PCU assignment - Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required Description: This is a medical Intermediate Care Unit with a 1:4 patient ratio. Patients present with a variety of medical and neuro diagnoses. Standard care includes supervision of certified nursing and patient care technicians, barring call-offs. Patients are typically cared for by a hospitalist service. No set or block schedules are available; weekend and holiday shifts are required. Time off requests will be considered if they do not impact staffing requirements. Common patient diagnoses include gastrointestinal bleeding, pneumonia, sepsis, and respiratory diseases. Staffing ratios are 1:4 on both days and nights. The average daily census is 12, with a total of 12 rooms and 12 beds in the unit. Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy. Essential skills for candidates include cardiac telemetry, central line care, chest tube management, and non-invasive airway management. The ability to interpret dysrhythmias and manage cardiac drips without titration is also required. Candidates must have experience with telemetry and the management of various medical devices. This position requires the ability to provide care for adult and geriatric patients.
