Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Provide direct patient care to assigned group of patients during shift • Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patient/family and healthcare team • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols • Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout episode of care • Assume clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing • Must be flexible and team player accustomed to fast-paced environment • Floating between departments and local locations within 20 miles is required • Must pass BCA (basic cardiac arrhythmias) testing during first week of assignment • Two years current experience required in specialty • At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required • EPIC experience preferred, training available on-site • Required certifications: New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License, BLS, ACLS, PALS certification through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • Required education: Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) Facility: This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical services with a focus on post-anesthesia care unit operations.
