ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - PICU Job Details: • Work 0.9 night shifts with flexible scheduling • Float between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as required • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1-1:3 for holding Peds or SAC status patients • Weekends required as needed by the unit • On call/call back responsibilities as needed • Utilize nursing process to provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teams • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols • Provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel • Meet patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care episodes • Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience required with minimum two years current experience in 12 bed PICU • Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment • Pediatric CVICU experience preferred • Epic EMR experience preferred • Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License required • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required • BLS and PALS must be completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross • Must be team player, flexible, and accustomed to fast-paced environment Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive pediatric intensive care unit with 12 beds, providing specialized critical care services for pediatric patients.
