Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Santa Fe, NM Agency: Mindlance Health Pay: $2,393 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/2/2026 About the Position ID: 75033334 Shift: 12 Hours Varied 0.9 FTE Varied day Night rotation never within the same week. Likely more days than Description: Job the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Floating between departments and or local locations within 20 miles is required. Job Responsibilities:-Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.-Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.-Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.-Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.-Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.-Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.-Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.-Floats between departments and or local locations within Twenty (20) miles as required.-Provides nursing care for a medically complex patient population awaiting community placement in a long-term stay setting.-Cares for Med/Surg level patients in a facility without a direct escalation path to ICU.-Recognizes, de-escalates, and responds to deteriorating patient conditions.-Maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of One (1) nurse to Seven (7) patients.-Works weekends as needed.-Participates in on-call and call-back coverage as needed. Schedule FTE Varied day Night rotation never within the same week. Likely more days than nights. On call and weekends as needed. Charge experience is preferred not requiredSkills: Required Skills & Experience:-Two (2) years of current experience in an Eighteen (18) plus bed telemetry or progressive care unit.-Ability to work as a team player in a fast-paced environment.-Flexibility to adapt to varying clinical settings and patient needs.-Successful completion of at least one Thirteen (13) week travel assignment.Preferred Skills & Experience:-Experience using Epic EMR.Education: Required Education:-Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)OR-Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN).Preferred Education:-N/ARequired Certifications & Licensure:-State of New Mexico Nursing LicenseOR-Compact State Nursing License.-Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.-BLS and ACLS certification completed through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.-National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.-Traveler must provide or pass a Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia/Dysrhythmia Assessment (BCA) exam prior to or during first week of assignment.
