Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Respiratory Therapist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title - Respiratory Therapist Location - Albuquerque, NM Schedule / Job Type - Contract, 13-week assignment (potential to extend to 26 weeks) - Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week - On call, weekends, and holidays required - Floating to other care areas within the facility and alternate locations within 20 miles Key Responsibilities - Provide cardiopulmonary diagnostic testing and respiratory therapeutic support to hospital and outpatient patients - Manage ventilatory support, including high-frequency oscillation and jet ventilation - Adapt to a fast-paced environment with varied assignments and schedules - Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver quality respiratory care - Float to different care areas as needed based on department staffing requirements Required Qualifications - Associate’s degree or Diploma in Respiratory Care - New Mexico Respiratory Care Practitioner License - Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC - BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) - ACLS certification (American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross) - Current experience managing high-frequency oscillation and jet ventilation within the past two years - Two (2) years of recent NICU and PICU experience - Six (6) to twelve (12) months of adult critical care, progress care, medical-surgical, and pediatric experience Preferred Experience / Skills - Epic EMR experience (training available onsite) - NRP or NALS certification (American Heart Association) Why Join Us - Opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare environment with flexible scheduling and varied assignments - Valuable experience in critical care settings and exposure to multiple care areas. $2551 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend.
