TNCC* Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description:
ICU Nights available. Option of 36 or 48 hours. First-time
travelers accepted. Floating to like units may be required.
Weekends are required. ACLS and BLS certifications are needed.
Previous experience in a critical care environment is preferred.
Patient ratios of 2:1 for days and nights. Additional duties
include accessing/managing ports and arterial line management.
Assist with chest tube insertion and removal, and management of
BiPAP and CPAP. Blood product administration and care of ventilated
patients are required. Experience with chronic and acute renal
failure is preferred. Responsibilities also include continuous IV
sedation and management of CVA/acute stroke patients. Experience
with CVVHD/CRRT and GI surgeries is preferred. Comfort with
high-flow nasal cannula and hypothermia protocols is necessary.
Infection prevention and interpretation of arterial blood gases are
critical skills. Management of dysrhythmias and multisystem organ
dysfunction/failure is also required. Phlebotomy and PICC line
management are part of daily tasks. Familiarity with procedural
sedation administration and monitoring is expected. Pulmonary
artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring experience is a plus. Starting and
maintaining IVs, as well as suctioning (ETT, NT), is essential.
Knowledge of surgical wounds with drains and wound vacs is
valuable. Titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips is required.
Ventilator management experience is necessary. Additional skills
such as experience with transcatheter aortic valve replacement are
preferred. Unit provides interdisciplinary support including
physical therapy and respiratory services. Patient demographic
primarily consists of adults with various critical diagnoses.
Special procedures performed in this unit include CRRT and
management of high-risk surgical patients. Requirements Required
