Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/02/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Facility: Ardent Health Services – Lovelace Medical Center (Heart Hospital) Location: 601 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102 Start Date: February 2, 2026 Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Nights – 4×12 Hours (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) Float Required: Yes – within PCU and lower acuity units as needed Block Schedule: Not Available Call Required: No Position Overview The Progressive Care Unit (PCU) at Lovelace Medical Center's Heart Hospital provides intermediate-level cardiac and cardiovascular-focused care for adult and geriatric patients. Nurses care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and advanced nursing interventions, including post-cardiac procedures and management of complex cardiovascular conditions. The unit operates with a 1:4–1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio and supports both 36- and 48-hour work options. Strong cardiovascular experience is required.
