Registered Nurse (RN) | Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Location: Albuquerque, NM Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,044 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Varied Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36.00 Experience: - Two (2) years current experience required in a 12-plus bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit - Previous travel experience required License: - State Nursing License Certifications: - BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required Must-Have: - Pediatric Intensive Care Unit experience - Team player and flexible - Experience in fast-paced environment Description: Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required. Ratios of 1:1 to 1:3 for holding pediatric or special acute care status patients. Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift. Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients. Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses. Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team. Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care. Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy. Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care. Assumes responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel. Completes patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards. Pediatric CVICU experience is a plus. Epic EMR experience is preferred.
