Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years preferred (will consider 1 years) License: Valid state RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required CPI preferred Must-Have: Cardiovascular experience required Previous charge experience preferred Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:4 Description: The position is for a registered nurse specializing in the progressive care unit. The nurse will provide care during night shifts. The average patient census is typically 38 patients. The unit consists of 55 beds. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring vital signs and administering medications. Key responsibilities include managing cardiac telemetry, central line care, and wound care. Additional tasks involve interpreting dysrhythmias and managing various cardiac drips. The role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary support teams. Weekend shifts and floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and organizational skills.
