Must-Have: Neuro experience Description: With the new tower
opening, there is a possibility that travelers may be asked to
switch units. The current bill rate will be honored if they are
asked to switch. Staffing ratios are typically 1:2. Weekend
requirements will vary based on unit needs. Clinicians may float to
other ICU, PCU floors, ED, or PACU as needed. Patient diagnoses
include TBI, SAH, SDH, tumor resections, status epilepticus, and
other neurological disorders. Special procedures include EVD
insertions, neuro post-op care, A-line insertions, intubation,
central line insertion, CRRT, and post-thrombectomy care. Equipment
used includes EVDs and CRRT. The facility is a Level I Trauma and
teaching hospital with a total of 554 staffed beds. The patient age
group consists of adults. Interdisciplinary support is provided by
various services such as physical therapy, respiratory services,
interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services,
rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
Compliance with health and safety regulations is required.
Travelers are expected to have personal transportation. No local
candidates will be considered if residing within 75 miles of the
facility. Additional compliance documentation will be required
